Step 1 - Log your Objection - Before noon on 3rd March

An effective objection needs to address key concerns related to planning - Please read CEC Guidance on objections - click here.

For success, we need to strongly emphasise that land is not allocated to housing in the local plan, that this is NOT greybelt and that there are no pressing needs to override the protections given to green belt. The key objection points are:

-Not in the Local Plan Green Belt with Local Landscape Designation
-NOT Greybelt
-No “exceptional circumstances” or ‘Very Special Circumstances’ to warrant building on greenbelt
-No unmet need for planning approvals in -Macclesfield CEC has a 4.8 year forward pipeline
-Highway safety
-Impact on infrastructure (GPs, schools, roads, etc)
-Environment/Biodiversity
- Flooding
-Impact on neighbours
